Scott Valley Park
Commercial Playground Construction | Encinitas, California
Project Overview
Project Details
Completed in 2025, the Scott Valley Park renovation created an inclusive playground in Encinitas designed so children of different physical and sensory abilities can play, explore, and connect together. Inspired by the legacy of Sophie Jones and her family’s vision for more accessible play, the project transformed an aging neighborhood playground into a meaningful community space built around inclusion.
Western State Builders completed the playground construction with new ADA-compliant play equipment and site improvements designed to support multi-abled play. The finished project combines accessibility, movement, interaction, and discovery to create a welcoming playground where more children can participate side by side.
